General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
GDPR is an EU regulation relating to the processing of personal data that becomes effective in UK law on 25 May 2018. Its aim is to strengthen the rights of individuals regarding the processing of their personal data and places obligations on data controllers who hold and use that data.
We have updated our Privacy Notice in line with GDPR and you will find this on our website here.
For the purposes of data protection law, Wilkins & Dallas Limited is the data controller for any personal data you supply to us. This personal data will be processed in accordance with data protection law and our Privacy Notice and will only be used for the purpose(s) for which you have supplied it to us. It will only be shared with third parties where it is necessary for us to do so and the law allows it. If we share your personal information with another organisation this will be to help us act upon what you have told us or because these organisations need to be made aware of what you are telling us in order for them to act upon it.
The new Privacy Notice aims to make it easier to understand what information we collect and why we collect it. It also explains how we safeguard this data and how we protect the data owner’s privacy. In addition to this overarching Privacy Notice, a simpler version will be issued to your son or daughter describing specific elements that are relevant to them.
